From decades of industry expertise to fresh energy and creativity, each team member brings a unique skill set to the table, united by a commitment to quality, precision, and doing things the right way. Whether it’s designing advanced systems, guiding customers with honesty and care, or bringing custom visions to life, our team takes pride in every detail and every result.
Dan Schultz
Owner
The original driving force behind Auto Additions, Dan brings decades of experience, innovation, and passion to the car audio and accessories industry. A foundation built from his father’s life as a machinist and true jack-of-all-trades, and working alongside his uncle who repaired TVs, Dan grew up surrounded by tools and electronics and learned to build things right as well as troubleshoot.
His love for car audio ignited at just 14 years old. Dan read every book he could find on the subject and started building custom setups for friends long before he even had his driver’s license. That teenage obsession quickly evolved into a career, including a title of Top 10 Installers in the country.
Today, Dan excels in advanced techniques including CAD (Computer Aided Design), custom fabrication, intricate DSP tuning, and sophisticated system architecture. Evolution of the industry keeps him excited, eagerly exploring new products as they hit the market. From the Owner – “I’m fueled by seeing my team grow and excel in their craft. I always want to promote a shop culture that is about continuous improvement and shared success.”
Outside of the business, Dan spends much of his time with his wife Brittany, he is enjoying a new found hobby in 3-D printing, is an ice cream fanatic and generally enjoys the simple things in life: food, family, and fun!

Bob Shinnick
Assistant Technician/Handyman
A “can-do-it-all” kind of guy. Bob completes lots of projects for us at Auto Additions, including jumping in as a technician when needed.
He played an integral part when Auto Additions moved after over 20 years at our old location. The current shop wouldn’t be what it is today without him. He brings a wealth of experience to the shop, and in many facets.
Bob is one of the most hardworking and helpful guys you will meet, and he does it all with a smile!
As a retired veteran and former City of Springfield employee, he is enjoying the perks of retired life. He likes to dabble with his classic cars, catch a sports game from his garage, enjoys day trips with his wife, and has always been a dedicated family man to his three children and grandson. Fun fact, he is also Dan’s father-in-law!
Michael Morris
Front-End Manager/Sales
With over 20 years of sales experience in the car audio and accessories industry, Michael brings a level of professionalism and genuine warmth that turns every visit at Auto Additions into a positive experience. His organization and attention to detail keeps the front end of the shop running smoothly and allows the guys in the back to do what they do.
He is great at matching customers with reliable products that meet their goals while fitting within their budget. He cares about performance, durability, and long-term satisfaction for every customer that walks through the door.
Working with Michael, you will leave confident and excited about your future vehicle upgrades! Outside of making your day better with his polite and friendly demeanor, Michael enjoys a good session of Call of Duty and hitting the gym in his free time.
Kyle Schooley
Technician/Sales
The youth of Auto Additions. Kyle initially began working in service and mechanics before joining the team, although he knew speakers, amps, and subwoofers as a kid due to his dad’s rides.
While he can be found in the back of the shop working on upgrading your vehicle, he has a passion for sales too. He loves interacting with customers and lining up wow-factor products that will put a smile on your face when you come to pick up your vehicle.
Kyle is dedicated to providing an experience you’ll love and sharing that moment with you!
Both at work and outside of work, Kyle is the guy that’s always laughing and always making you laugh. He is up for anything, usually with his high school sweetheart Atheena. His favorite music is rock/metal and he tries to catch a concert when he can. Did we mention, he is 6’4 with a curly mullet and lumberjack’s beard?
Lance Stone
Technician/Sales
From a young age, Lance was always getting his hands dirty in the garage and spent most of his teenage years at the family body shop. He started installing car stereos for his buddies in high school and completed a couple of ground-up builds over the years. Those early projects turned into a passion where he saw how the right upgrades could bring a new level of enjoyment out on the road.
Turning customers’ visions into reality continues to drive Lance. He enjoys systems that sound as good as they look!
When Lance is not underneath the dash of a car, he loves all things music. He is a member of a popular local country band that also includes his lovely fiancée, Jenna. He likes to travel and spend good nights around the grill with friends and family. He is also the proud owner of the sweetest American Bully around, Winnie!
